Carolyn Geldermann, founder of Geldermann College Consulting, is an independent educational consultant. Carolyn earned her BA from Northwestern University in communications and mathematics, and an MBA from the prestigious Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management, with a focus in marketing and non-profit management. Carolyn also holds an Independent Educational Consulting Certificate from University of California Irvine and completed the intensive Independent Educational Consultant Association’s (IECA) Summer Training Institute.
Carolyn has always had a strong interest in college admissions, beginning during her own high school years, when she would peruse college catalogs (pre-internet) for fun! She passionately believes that a solid education provides the foundation for the future and opens doors for a successful and fulfilling life beyond college. Carolyn brings a wealth of unique professional and volunteer experiences to her practice. She served on the Strategic Planning Committee of Lake Forest High School District 115, rewriting the school’s mission statement. She was also an active member and long-range planning contributor of The Family School, an interfaith religious school, established to provide the children of Jewish-Catholic backgrounds with a religious education that incorporates the teachings of both religions. Through her years of work with BBDO Chicago, The Track & Field Association, and as a founder of Bartholomay Interiors, Carolyn demonstrated leadership, communication and organizational skills, and cultivated and maintained relationships with clients in order to achieve desired goals.
Carolyn especially enjoys working with young adults, and guiding them through an exciting transition in their life. In a relaxed and supportive environment, she easily takes on the roles of mentor, guide and cheerleader as they navigate the possibilities!
Carolyn is a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), the Illinois Association for College Admissions Counseling (IACAC), and an Associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
